- “Oh Rose!” Pearl spoke cheerfully, clasping her hands together with a smile. It wasn’t often that Pearl requested Amethyst to shape shift for her, really it was only in her darkest moments. She knew this was probably bad for her, it was bad for her to move on from Rose. But when Amethyst had once did it for her in the past when she was sulking, it became a request she asked when she felt the most upset about Rose not being there.  Pearl took her hand, a soft smile as she pulled herself closer. “I missed you so much...” She ran her fingers against the others hand, looking off into the distance. They always went to the cliff when Pearl requested this, the view was always too pretty and no one ever came to find them here. “I love seeing this view with you...”

She wasn’t always like this. When Rose could be bothered to come home, she was all over the large woman, sucking up her space. But, more often than not, she was gone and that left her with...Amethyst. “Ugh, you can do that by yourself.” ...Stars, she didn’t know why she was so cruel to the little one. It’s not like she had anyone else. She... Pearl sighed deeply, turning back around to face the younger gem and giving her a weary smile. Instead of speaking, she just held her hand out for Amethyst to drag her along.

“Who says I can’t, Amethyst?” Was Pearl being immature about this whole thing? Absolutely. Did she care at this particular moment? Not at all. “Just leave me alone...”

       “What’s up? Do you wanna hang out?”
