This is basically nothing, but I kept being annoyed by how specifically this beard in black didn't have a catalog entry. So I unhid it. Works with Sims 2 as well as the Stories games.

Hi enjoy the worst preview ever!

All the genie garbage (ambodygenie, amhairhatbeardgenie, amhairhatgenie) replaced with uh a wild mix of things. For the skin, I’ve used these ones by @serabiet, recoloured to this sickly, desaturated purple. For the eyes, one of the purples by @poppet-sims from here. And for the hair, I did my best to recolour it in Poppet v2 colours, keeping the EAxis textures. I didn’t touch the beard per se, but I did edit it to reference the Base Game full beard instead, or any texture defaults you may have for it.

All the genie resources are kinda broken in my imo, not linked to the things they should be linked to etc. Therefore, if you get my genie default, I would recommend that you either also get the hat default or replace it with another hair entirely, or it’ll have a purple scalp.

Weirdest previews ever, but whateverrrr! I wanted to try out AlfredAskew‘s Eye Default Add-ons so I made sets for Beetle Eyes on Dreadpirate's Sclera v3 by peppermint-ginger and Jessi's Hand Outs and Punch Ups on MSWN's v3 Sclera by Poppet.

Time for my annual object default! I was inspired by vegan-kaktus’ chess piece default and I’ve been meaning to replace the chess table itself for an eternity so here we are!

Chess table comes in ten cluedo colours, recolours bundled with defaults. I edited the mesh to remove the timer thing on the side because it felt a bit excessive for just a janky communal chess table.

Oh, yeah, the chess pieces as well. Changed the colours to cluedo black and white, and included keida’s fix to have the pieces correctly rotated.

Kinda unconventional preview, but oh well!

Replacement textures for the hair colour icons, using Poppet v2 textures. Grey colour is also replaced, even though it’s not shown. There are two versions, depending on if you have Chris Hatch’s Widescreen Mod or not. Or any other mod that enables the unnaturals bin. My file seems to need to load before CH’s. May also conflict with other UI mods.

What brought this on in the first place was me being annoyed that eye defaults never seem to have matching thumbnails, and I just can’t stand seeing the generic ones anymore. So, if anyone is interested, I’ve also made files that just contain the extracted files, so you can make your own icons for hair and eyes!

proof of concept

I love when I start doing something and just can’t let it go, like these pool ball replacements. This time I’ve made replacements using crystal textures by Nenpy (I think), and the lovely Yeti palette by @shastakiss. Crystal balls (really bad idea, they would just break) only come in a plain version, but the Yeti balls (oh no...) come in both plain and numbered. They would look great with these pool tables.

Update 22/01/21: Triangle fix from here is now included. Edited material definitions for crystal balls to be glossy.

Soooo maybe I said I was going to be away until next year... Well, I couldn’t stay away! Inspired by PenelopeT who made easel frame replacements, I wanted to make some as well. In these woods!

I tried to find a way to edit the labels in the pie menu where you choose the frame, but I couldn’t find anything. It shouldn’t be too big of a problem, as the names match for all frames except worn.

Update 2022/11/01: I figured out how to edit the pie menu! File has been updated, but you’ll need to manually replace the old one because I changed the name.
