This guide is specifically for the DAFANG camera but will be the same process for most of the Xiaomi IP range such as the Xiofang etc. Stop wasting time looking through footage to see if anything is happening. This wastes time and storage space! By enabling motion based recording you can see any activations straight away from the recording menu. This is quite easy to do but some people have not been able to find the location of the setting. Open the MI Home app and select the camera you want to change. Tap or click the three dots to gain access to the menu. Now choose camera settings, then storage management. You can now change the setting from continuous recording to motion based recording. The changes are saved automatically and you can now exit the app. Hopefully this video has been useful?
