I’m sorry for disappearing, but I’ve had a rough couple of weeks and the healing has been slow going. Trying to get back into the fandom groove though! Hopefully I missed a lot of interesting things and y’all have been just happy as all get out. 🥰
June is always my busiest month and with the world on fire, I haven't been creating for fandom lately. I have a demanding day job doing [redacted] and I'm also an active organizer for a local human rights group focusing on LGBTQIA+ issues. I didn't talk about this much, cause I figured no one cared, but with how our world is today and the number of people looking for ways to help, I've realized I have something to offer to fandom more than fic and art. If you need resources, if you need someone to talk to about starting out with volunteering, if you want to discuss topics that might be confusing - my askbox/chat is always open. I'm also on twitter at djchika_ (note the underscore!) so you can catch me there as well.
I'm still going to keep writing and drawing, and going batshit over idiot queers in love, but I'm also going to make more of an effort to talk to people and help amplify voices that need to be heard. I hope that whatever happens, we can help each other make the world and our fandom spaces, a little better every day.
