10.11.17 "God requires our obedience before our understanding." It's funny how the story of the prophet Jonah constantly relates to my missionary journey. Like today's 1st reading, I cannot really fathom God's ways and plans. I might get angry and frustrated like Jonah but at the end of the day His words of mercy and love remains. Now, I can only pray the words that He taught us "thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Thy will be done, indeed! Thank you, Lord for today.
