How about Cas just walk into that jail and mojo every guard there so that they donât remember heâs there just like he did with the secret service agent? Then waltz back out with the brothers. Problem solved.

Remember the episode where Cas had super hearing because he was a celestial being back in season 8? But somehow he didnât hear Kelly slip away? ok then, like letâs just pick and choose Casâ powers when itâs convenient for the plot, and take them away again so we can portray Cas as useless whenever we want. A+ continuity and writing.
So not only will Cas blame himself for letting Kelly get away, but he'll also blame himself for not watching out for Sam and Dean. Perfect. Letâs really pile the guilt that will make him feel even more worthless on. Not like Cas doesnât feel burdened enough as it is.
Bucklemming have no fucking clue how to write Cas as an actual character. He's either a clueless idiot one minute or he suddenly has a random power for convenience sake the next.
Why canât Crowley just teleport in and get the Winchesters out of jail?

I guess iâll be on here liveblogging spn one last time before I move. It seems appropriate to finish the first half the season here. Please blacklist âspoilersâ and âdee watchesâ if you donât want to see anything.

Itâs incredible that the show is giving Lucifer more of a storyline than Cas, that theyâre being more sympathetic to the actual fucking devil than Cas. I canât believe they're trying to make us feel for Lucifer when there's already an angel we love right there. I canât believe I have to watch them try to âhumanizeâ Satan at the expense of Cas.
Lucifer has gotten to vent his frustrations with God (including actually talking with God) numerous times, but Cas has never been given that chance. It was so frustrating to watch the season 11 finale where God and Cas proceeded to ignore each other when we know that there is a lot of built-up emotion there, and now we have to watch Cas be pushed aside again. Instead of trying to build up another character in attempt to make them relatable, why not just use a developed character that is familiar and loved by the audience? I cared hell of a lot more when Cas raise his head to look above and uttered the single line of âyou son of a bitch. I believed in...â expressing his disappointment in God all the way back in season 5 than any of Luciferâs venting monologues.
Cas wouldâve been the perfect character to explore this âGodâs abandonmentâ storyline. His struggle with his faithâin his Father, in heavenâs authority, in the angelsâhas been a central part of his character since Cas was first introduced on the show. Giving Cas this story arc wouldâve brought some much-needed emotional release for Cas as a character, and it wouldâve been satisfying for the showâs audience as well. But since the show insists on granting Lucifer this particular story arc, the very least they could do is give Cas the same chance for catharsis.
Exploring these emotions with Cas wouldn't even need the big stage/fanfare like the show did for Luciferâan intimate but intense conversation would've sufficed as the meat of that storyline with more smaller moments interspersed throughout the season. The show's been able to show how Maryâs absence is affecting both Sam and Dean, why not parallel that with how Cas feels at God leaving?
When will the show treat Cas as an actual character, and not just a placeholder? Thereâs so much untapped potential in Cas if the show would have the courage and smarts to develop his character effectively.
âDonât regret the ride. Donât regret the hope.â Thereâs something beautiful and profound about this phrase despite its simplicity. Itâs actually really reminiscent of some of Mishaâs own hope-filled words.
