I rly hate the musical "the Book of Mormon" because it seems like it just makes fun of the lds religion wbu
Yeaaahhh…… But because it prompted a lot of people into actually looking into our religion and becoming more educated on what it was I’m not too mad about it. :) Because when it came out, missionaries in New York stood on the streets nearby like: “Well you saw the musical, now do you want to know what we’re really like?” Hahahaha. Here’s a really cool article about the church coping with the musical and trying to turn disrespect for our religion into a tool to spread good things instead!

Edit because I love this line in the article when the church was making adverts that say, “hey look this is what a real mormon looks like”:
Elder Clifford Herbertson, an LDS Church leader, explained these choices, saying, “When people get to know a member of our faith, misperceptions and misunderstanding quickly disappear and are replaced by mutual respect and friendship; these adverts are in no way a tacit endorsement of the play but we want those who have questions to know where they can find real answers.”
Dude I’m intj too!! What r the odds even??
From now on we are the INJT collective
