Posted @withregram • @studiojdesigner Wednesday decor tips Yes, you can mix metal finishes in a kitchen. Brass and black hardware were used in this kitchen layout by @vivirdesign . Brass handles inject a softer and warmer feeling than chrome. By mixing metals, you keep a space from feeling too one-note, and it gives a more collected and layered look. Rules: 1) Maximum of 3 metals 2) Never mix the same metal in different finishes such as polished and satin 3) Never mix metals that are closed related such as nickel and chrome The idea is to add warmth to a room. What are your thoughts in mixing metal? . . . #joseelapalmedesign #613designer #ottawadesigner #decorrules #mixingmetals #kitchenlayout https://www.instagram.com/p/CQMvhoblPvU/?utm_medium=tumblr
