Hi dear,

MSG was kind of One Direction's "official" breakthrough. MSG is a massive venue, known worldwide. REALLY big artists play there. So when 1D got to play there they KNEW they MADE IT made it. They played there during their breaking America time, right at the height of Haylor (the publicity stunt used to propel 1D into unparalleled stardom).

MSG is referred to as "The Garden", which Harry sings about in Sweet Creature - a song about his relationship with Louis Tomlinson ;) It's a possible interpretation of the lyrics which, in my opinion, makes sense.

I obviously don't know all the reasons why Harry finds it personally important and special. But given the fact he referenced it in relation to Louis in Sweet Creature, I think it has some significance to them as couple too. Louis has also said multiple times that playing MSG with 1D that 1st time was when it 100% hit him that they had MADE IT made it and how it holds special significance to him as well.

During his speech Harry didn't say every time I play here. He said "every time WE stroll around these halls", right after mentioning the 1st time he played there with 1D (Dec 3 2012). Idk what he was thinking of, or rather who, but it wasn't just himself. He was likely thinking of One Direction, his band, and his Louis.
