So in my head if you have a death song you gotta be able to sing

I mean it just makes sense singing dragon, singer dragon rider

anyways, for the sake of my sanity we will call the dragon Garf like in rtte cause i don’t have to mental capacity to think up a name that fits the httyd universe

Garf only likes two people: you and is begrudgingly tolerant of Hiccup

this both terrifies and excites hiccup

you aren’t very chatty since you spent a lot of time alone on melody island w Garf so hiccup fills the void with his nerdy ramblings

you two first meet when the gang is lured to melody island

you save them obviously because a whole group of people have never came to the island and it surprises you

hiccup being hiccup invites you to stay at the edge and you agree cause isolation is not fun

you control/call garf w music

whether that be an actual instrument or your voice

this intrigues hiccup and he also is drawn to your song like a sailor is drawn to a siren song

just like your dragon you put him in a trance

hiccup tries to show his interest in you by making you a music box of the song that you sing the most

if you play instruments this boy if making you a case for it with the most beautiful designs on it

he tries not blush whenever you use it but fails miserably

hiccup is a very good artist and i see him drawing you and garf all the time

this would be rlly creepy if it wasn’t for his massive crush on you

he asks you one night to teach him one of your songs

you do and he hums it to himself whenever he thinks of you

your confession isn’t loud or grand, it’s soft and sweet

i picture it on a midnight walk cause both of you were up and hiccup heard you singing in your hut and went over to ask why you are up at that hour

the walk leads to sitting underneath a tree

hiccup is doing his usual rambling but then he catches a glimpse of you under the moonlight and goes quiet

obviously this makes you look up at him with a puzzled expression

and he goes, “ you look really pretty” all blushy and shit

this makes you turn RED

you can’t just not say anything so you compliment him back saying he’s pretty too

he asks if he can kiss you and all you can do is nod
