there’s sadly not nearly enough f/f fic in the black sails fandom but i will try my best :D and i’m very glad you asked tbh i’m always happy to talk about my love for f/f fics

as the world shall fresh and deathless last by @sea-changed​ (miranda/eleanor): i love a good rarepair fic and this is FANTASTIC, everything sea-changed writes is always so incisive and well-observed! i love eleanor’s brashness in this fic and how she’s proven wrong about miranda, and also it’s just really fucking hot 👌

what’s ink on skin to the feeling in our bones by @bal-lantine​ (max/eleanor/anne): i mean everything by bal is amazing, but this fic has a special place in my heart - i really love these three as a poly triad, and this is such a sweet happy modern au with elegant characterisation and a really fantastic anne voice! they go shopping and get matching tattoos!!

Ash Like Snow by @manjusaka​ (max/eleanor): written pre-s4, this is an imagining of a happy ending for max and eleanor, and it’s a really gorgeous one. there’s an incredibly striking surreal scene. 

The Price of Sand by fullyajar (max/eleanor, max/anne): this is mid-s3 max and eleanor just having a conversation and a lot of it is very prescient - the characterisation is on point, it’s basically a real scene in the show by this point. i love the weight of everything in this fic, their shared history and complicated feelings about each other.

A Place of Our Own by hippononymous (max/anne): a 10k post-series fic!!! i need so many more long post-series maxanne fics, but this one hits the spot nicely and is a great look at anne slowly healing alongside nassau.

never let me go by @tuotilo (max/anne): a fic i think about almost constantly. just the most achingly good prose - simple but atmospheric and effective. max saves anne from execution. it’s not all happy but it’s… wistfully content.
