This is based off of a fan-fiction of Life is Strange called "Cockroaches". I wanted to recreate this scene, and boy was it a challenge. This moment meant so much to me, as it was a declaration against trauma, against depression, against the things that try so hard to destroy us. "This Year" by The Mountain Goats is what they're listening to in the scene, and also where the name comes from for this picture. The chorus of the song is, "I am gonna make it through this year if it kills me. . ." It has been an exceptionally difficult year, but I definitely will.

I made an alternate picture to Max crying while being held by Vic. Max might have gotten high and decided to watch “Up” with Kate and Vic. The recipe for a good cry.
