the opposite happens to me with landoscar, i ship them heavily but i hardly read any of their fics because i feel like most authors don't get the memo with lando 😶 that's why i ended up reading fics of them with other drivers, like carcar or norstappen, i'm glad because i found death bloom, and you left me speechless, lando suffering the horrors due to stress is practically canon, and the thing about him being an omega works so well as an allegory to how he was treated last season... lando being an omega and being treated like he was inferior just makes so much sense! i remember when brundle (if i remember correctly it was him) told zak to his face that lando was very submissive to max, not counting the articles where the journalists put a lot of emphasis on that. i imagine if lando was as vocal as max in complaining about certain things (with reasons), they would treat him like a whinny bitch! 😭 sorry if i'm getting off topic, what i mean is that your fic captured lando's angst last season and laid it out in a very beautiful and hot way. thanks for that! <3

hey SO! just read death bloom and i am. um. normal about it? for sure. butthe very end got me thinking about a scenario where the fia do in fact start to push for a ban on omegas, and max has already asked that question about "what if it was a world champion?" at which point the 2024 wdc becomes suddenly very important because actually, are they about to ban lando, the reigning world champion, because he's an omega? and max, who was literally two seconds away from mating with lando, faces winning the championship and losing the chance to ever race lando again!
