ten little jane headcanons of the day.
1 - when the sun shines brightly and jane has been out in the sun, she gets freckles across her nose and cheeks, most notably on her nose. fanny gets them when the sun shines, too.
2 - jane rescues any bug she can, and refuses to kill them. faith taught her to respect all life, no matter how small.
3 - her favorite colors are amber, warm oranges and the kind of muted yellow of wheat.
4 - her ethnicity is half italian half british like her actresses' silvia presentes', she is italian on her birth mother's side, though jane does not remember her biological mother
5 - her dreams are very vivid and she remembers them well, although jane can never fully sleep through the night and her dreams tend to be brief and interrupted, one after another
6 - as a result of the suffering she has been through, jane is an agnostic leaning atheist, but she would never be so openly especially not because she doesn't want to be a bad influence on fanny and take away her faith. still, she believes in an afterlife where she would be reunited with her parents, since the can't bear the thought of nothingness after death. she does not believe in hell, she believes hell is a made up concept to control people.
7 - she has never been attracted to a customer before. every customer she had was a performance. william was the first man she felt drawn to
8 - when jane was younger she was a passionate reader, sadly she did not get to have any books after she was sold to the brothel
9 - the seashells she collected were seashells she collected together with her father while he came to visit.
10 - she is very good at sewing and mending clothes, it was something she did at the brothel to pass the time
