and if i may, i am repeating it back to you: this too shall pass! ❤ be patient with yourself. one of my favorite reminders of all time comes from jeanette winterson, in her book oranges are not the only fruit.

it helps me (attempt to) continuously reframe my feelings as temporary states—always shifting, for good or bad—rather than a permanent sinkhole to be stuck in.

this feeling—or absence of feeling—is one moment of many. someday soon you (and i!) will feel another thing. and another and another. in that tide, inspiration is bound to come back. hope is bound to come back.

7. What was your average Goodreads rating? Does it seem accurate?

my average (if my calculator is correct, lmao) is 4.5 stars. which makes sense, as i always tend to be... maybe too generous in my goodreads ratings. but i read very few flops this year, so it's relatively accurate, i think. (there was only one book i intensely hated, and that still got 3 stars from me, because like. there's nothing wrong with it, really. i just hated it, lol.)

9. Did you get into any new genres?

oooh, yes! @saecookie i read the first volume of the comic series saga, which i really enjoyed, particularly as an introduction to comics. i want to get the actual hard copies to read the rest, though, rather than digital copies. so, i'm waiting on that at the moment, between all the other books i'm juggling.

11. What was your favorite book that has been out for a while, but you just now read?
