Dear Keeper,
I have panic attacks. Sometimes they aren't so bad, but mostly they are. I don't know when they're coming, how to prevent them or how to stop them. Sometimes I have night terrors and I wake up confused and panicking and I may lash out or simply whimper and cower away from you.
When they happen, I don't know where I am or who is near me. Once, I didn't know what was going on and I tried to shrink as small as I possibly could to make myself as little of a target as I was able.
I shut down and sometimes, I don't know who I am. When this happens, please, comfort me. Move slowly as if I am an abused baby animal. Speak softly but clearly; do not tower over me. Be gentle.
I didn't always have panic attacks. Love me anyway?
