i’m not sorry but i keep picturing this au and it’s really weird and i don’t know how it functions but it revolves around Gamzee and Terezi working stuff out.
Like he’s finally in his right mind and though he does love to tease and spar with terezi he doesn’t have any of the unhealthy black feelings anymore.
Terezi is still hella invested in the relationship though and is constantly picking fights.
Sometimes they happen, sometimes gamzee just awkwardly walks away. But he also still wants to help her be better and move on because he feels like crap for the way he acted in the past.
So he plays into it. He’s good at putting on a mask. Yes this could count as leading her on but it’s helping and he’s dumb.
He teases and pokes her out of her ruts and lets her claw at him and scream when she’s really pent up. It hurts like hell sometimes but he can take it and she needs an outlet. again, not the healthiest thing.
but it’s not just Gam kinda hate/pale mixing. Terezi has stopped him from ending it all multiple times. She walks in, get’s in his face, and basically screams the rope off his neck and tells him to sit the hell down on the chair he was just about to kick. Gam is very frazzled in those moments so it has worked 90% of the time. Other times she just glares at him, and he gets so uncomfortable with an audience that he stops whatever he was going to do.
He’s annoyingly gentle with her.
One of the thinsg was that Terezi has something going on and makes a nest out of her quadrants clothes. Her only quad being Gam. But she still complains about the ‘musty clown stench’ and gam takes her seriously and takes all his nasty ass laundry out of her room. He didn’t know about the nest thing.
She freaks out, gets cranky, and it takes a while for Gam to realize what’s up. He was the same way back in the vents, stealing karkat’s stuff and sniffing it when he was getting a bit too agitated. He knows terezi gets upset when he breaks from the kismesis thing so he plays it off as him not having room in his block and telling her to ‘Just deal sis’ as he puts some spare clothing back in her block.
She knows he’s being nice. He knows she knows. they don't talk about it though.
they also basically share blocks. always visiting or barging in. it doesn’t always have to be for comfort or fighting. They just like being near each other, but again won’t talk about it.
