This is based on a video series by Deadpoolzilla in which he takes characters from certain franchises and thinks up what kind of music from our world each character would listen to. For this, I'm doing a Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind version. Nausicaa: Nausicaa personally strikes me as a classical music kind of girl. I can imagine her listening to the works of Tchaikovsky, Mozart, and maybe Beethoven. I picture her listening to that sort of music while studying her plant samples in her laboratory, exploring the Sea of Corruption, or just hanging out and watching the world go by while she has Teto curled up in her lap. I also think she'd be a little bit into J-Pop bands like XAI or even listening to "Colors of the Wind" in her spare time. Asbel: For Asbel, I kinda picture him as a rock or country fan, someone who listens to Nickelback, Seether, or Shinedown. Though, I think he'd also be something of a classical music fan if he's helping Nausicaa with something. I also imagine him as a Linkin Park fanboy as catharsis for losing Lastelle. Yupa: A lot like Nausicaa, I think Yupa would be someone who listens to classical music. I dunno why, but he just does. Mito: This is gonna sound pretty weird, but I honestly think Mito would be an opera kind of guy, but he just listens to it in his spare time. I could maybe imagine him trying to listen to one of Nausicaa's music but it wouldn't stick with him. Kurotawa: Kurotawa was a little weird for me, but, I personally see him as a fan of classic rock music simply on the grounds as a guilty pleasure. I can imagine him listening to someone like Elvis whenever Kushana isn't looking, he'd even be dancing to it until Kushana walks in and asks "What are you doing?" to which Kurotawa would immediately turn it off and say "Ummm, nothing." Finally, Kushana: Kushana, I can imagine listening to orchestral rock bands like the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, just music with a bit of a bite to it. It'd be classical, but there'd be an edge to it she'd find very appealing. I think she'd TRY to listen to J-Pop much like Nausicaa only she'd turn it off after the first few lyrics and go "Seriously? People actually like this!? Yeah, no thanks." So, what are your thoughts and what music do YOU think these characters would listen to?
