‘ I finally caught you! ‘ Alex chimed before inhaling sharply; in attempt to catch her breath back. She had been chasing after him for about an hour but every time she got near, he seemed to slip away. But this time she managed to grab hold of his arm tugging on it to capture his attention.
‘ I won’t keep you since you are busy, with this thanksgiving party and all but here. ‘ Taking hold of his hand gently, she placed a small velvet pouch in his hand. ‘ Careful it’s fragile. This is a gift from me to you. You are one of my few friends here and one of the first people I met when arriving. Having someone to talk too was pretty comforting, so thank you. If you ever need someone, I’ll be here for you. '
She couldn’t afford much, like usual but she was making an attempt to give the people back something for the kindness they showed her. Inside the velvet pouch was a small porcelain dove attached to a string. There was also a note saying ‘ I’ve got a matching one too. P.S I think you are pretty kindhearted, even if you don’t want to admit it. ‘
Letting go of the male’s hand, she offered the other a heartfelt smile, before running off. She said she didn’t want to keep him since he was made an event this lovely event with someone. Alex made sure to wave as she left though and if he looked closely enough; the second dove was hanging from her middle finger.
