Thanks to you all for your prayers and well wishes! I am back home now after spending about 4.5 hrs in the ER. Blood tests and EKG were negative as far as any signs of a heart attack. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE! For some reason it has poisoned our culture among other things, that black men will not go to the doctor until it's too late! If you're past the age of 35 it is time to schedule regular doctor and dental visits! PREVENTATIVE healthcare is better than REACTIONARY health care! Now ... My point with all this social media crap is as follows:
Some of you thought you knew me in the same way I thought I knew some of you. We get so good at hiding behind computer screens and hi-res mobile touch-screens that we forget - or make considerably less time for - our friends and loved ones.
Apparently we’re always busy these days. Well I’m sorry, but if you’re too busy to respond to a simple question sent seconds after your initial message… WHAT is the chuffing point in trying to communicate in this way? And, in some cases, what’s the point of even keeping in touch at all.
Knowing when to cut out negativity is when life starts to dramatically improve. It’s worked for me so far – and yes, I am smug because I never thought I’d start earning my place in this world in something I’ll stop at nothing to follow!
