A grim memory overshadowing the present || deadlier--contractors - Amber
Jun's mood hadn't been particularly great lately and as much as he wanted to see his friends, he needed time alone to ponder his actions. It had been a while now that him, along with the masked circle, his friends that he had found back after ten years of being apart, had managed to defeat Nyarlathotep, saving the world that he had endangered because if his weak mind and his inability to resist the crawling chaos's control even though he had only amplified the desires that had been dormant in his heart. While his friends had forgiven him a long time ago, Jun had yet to come to terms with it and the recent events hadn't helped at all. He had tried to change, tried to become stronger but that hadn't prevented Nyarlathotep's influence from getting a grip on him once again, making him the Joker one more time. He knew he needed to do something, anything to change, for his friends sake as well...
However, now, two of his friend were also gone and the emptiness he could feel in his heart had left him aching even more. The raven haired boy wasn't even sure if he wanted to be around people, not even his closest friends, instead needing the solitude and calm for him to sort his thoughts. There was nothing he could do about the emptiness aside wait, going on with his life and try to become a better person in the meantime, to stop worrying the ones he held dear as well as truly being able to support them in return for all they did for him.
Not wishing to spend time at home, Jun found solace in his pastimes, walking alone, going to see flowers, watching the shining stars under the surprisingly clear night sky of the beginning of Autumn though his eyes always settled and lingered to the Vega star for some reason, admiring his brightness, a hint that a person dear to him was still there somewhere and that their last encounter hadn't been the last.
Tonight was no different, the raven haired boy had left home after dinner, the sun set for more than an hour now, heading, not to his favorite flower spot this time as it was much farther than the distance he wanted to walk, but simply to the Aoba Park where he settled on the grass, the large flowers around, that were rumored to being able to talk to people though he had never tried, putting his mind at ease. However, Jun soon felt a single presence heading toward his direction, footsteps confirming his persona's feeling, his body immediately tensing as it was highly unusual for him to encounter anyone at this time of night especially in this city, immediately raising his voice.
"Who are you?" Being quite far from even the closest lamppost, it was hard distinguishing features in the dark, wariness coating his words though he couldn't feel any malicious intention coming from the person who had been interrupting his stargazing.
