Fire isnât a good pastime when thereâs others to stop you
âGoner kidâ now nicknamed by the human as goldfish watched as said human spun a stick against a tree. âWhat⌠are you doing?â She blinked a few times debating on if this was something that she was supposed to tell the doctor about or not.
âIâm setting the forest on fire.â The human said matter of factly. As if this was the most normal and obvious thing in the world and not unusual and a first since they freed Goldfish and the doctor from their nonexistent prison.
She stared at the human for a moment before asking. âOkay⌠but why⌠are you setting the forest on fire..? Would that even work? It doesnât look like itâŚâ
The human huffed. âScrew the trees thatâs why! Whatâs even the point in them here?! How are they even underground like this?!â Dark eyes glared at the stick that was refusing to light or even smoke the tree.
Silently Goldfish was thankful that the human didnât curse in-front of them that often. âWhat did the tree do wrong? Isnât it a good thing theyâre here?â If she had arms she would have crossed them.
The human paused their motions at that and turned to look at her. âIâm burning the forest and you can not logic or reason me out of this.â Caramel red met her still white eyes.
ââŚ.. Iâm getting the doctor.â She turned and quickly ran off. A fire underground would only spell disaster for them and she wasnât about to let the human do something so foolish.
âRELEASE ME YOU FIEND! How dare you touch me! I will fight you and the trees! They must burn! They must repent!â She watched the human struggle in the doctorâs hold, flailing their arms wildly.
The doctor only held on tighter to the humanâs waist as he dragged them away from the trees. âYou will do no such thing. That stick is incapable of what youâre aiming for, the trees are not dry enough to catch fire, and we both know that is an empty threat.â He sighed as he continued to restrain the human.
âI regret ever helping you! I hate you! I hate you! And I donât want to be your friend any longer!â The human only struggled more before going limp. âI give up. This is to hard. Iâm tiredâŚâ
Sighing the doctor readjusted his hold to carry the human bridal style and started to carry them back to the ruins. âYou are truly a strange thing. So quick to give up and yet so determined about the oddest things⌠Letâs up you truly do give up on this endeavor.âďżź
Goldfish watched the two leave. She shook her head. Her human friend was so silly. But she was glad she met them. They made things more interesting and lively.
