I think dimension/timeline hopping via the collective unconscious should be actually *very* possible for the people from the Velvet Room. I think it’s just one of these “taboos” that even Elizabeth wouldn’t dare breaking, on basis that she really, really doesn’t want the space-time-continuum to go boom and collapse on itself. It’s mentioned by Margaret in PQ that this kind of stuff is so bad, they wouldn’t even remotely dare to attempt it.
i have a question on the relationship of nyarlathotep, erebus, and nyx so wait is nyx like the same being as nyarlathotep or is erebus like nyarlathoteps son or something i dont get it
According to the P3 Club Book, Nyx is the sum of all mental energy sealed in the Collective Unconscious, alongside human energy.Nyarlathotep is the negative side of the Collective Unconscious, Philemon is the positive side of the Collective Unconscious.
Therefore, Nyarlathotep and Philemon are the two sides of Nyx, just as much as humans are unconsciously Nyx.
Meanwhile, Erebus is a deity born from human self-destructiveness with the sole purpose of destroying the Collective Unconscious (And thus, all sentient psyches) by returning Nyx to being her own entity. Erebus embodies a part of the destructive will that was embodied in Nyarlathotep in P2. So Erebus is sort of like a part-incarnation of Nyarlathotep, I’d say.
That’s how I read the relationship here.
