“        are    you    serious?        ”        she’s    not    sure    what    kind    of    reaction    she    should    be    giving    for    this.        she    likes    the    life    she    has ,        the    attention    that    she    gets.        it’s    exhausting    but    it’s    nice    seeing    her    work    pay    off.        still    she    gives    them    a    smile.        “        you    wouldn’t    miss    all    this?        i    don’t    think    i’m    made    for    normal    life.        ”

draco moves to atlanta first, settling down and making roots that will eventually lead him to become a senator for georgia.  tj moves down after finishing school, and atlanta becomes their new permanent residence       (  besides for d.c. which they both still call home thanks to their families  ).           never doing anything small, the house has two stories and plenty of rooms.  there’s space in the living room to sit on the couches and look out at the view.  there’s also space for tj to sit at the piano and play while looking out at draco in his garden.  scorpius has a well designed room, and their master bedroom is the room of tj’s dreams.

so    that’s    what    this    feeling    was!        light    bulb    turned    on    quickly    as    everything    was    put    together    finally.        a    missing    puzzle    piece    completed    what    had    left    him    wondering    about    the    full    picture.        normal    things    didn’t    make    him    scared    or    upset ,        but    sometimes    the    thought    of    not    being    with    love    again    kept    him    up    at    night.        never    had    they    been    this    attached    to    someone ,        wanted    someone’s    attention    this    deeply.        to    have    their    eyes    on    him    felt    like    a    prize    &    he    so    loved    winning.        “        maybe    i    do.        ”        jinx    takes    their    hand    &    presses    it    against    chest ,        heart    could    be    felt    beating    furiously.        “        does    this    mean    i    do?        it    feels    like    i    do.        ”

♤.   it’s midnight and the moon sighs as the stars peer down at them. the world has long since fallen asleep, the city grown busy then bustling then quiet. time passes and they lay there,  limbs intertwined and shoulders kissing as their heads think together. they smell of cherries and sweet things and sunji traces the outline of the constellations they call to in their palm. it’s peaceful, she thinks, as they draw a smile from her already aching lips. quiet. a soft comfort. warm tea brewed on a cool evening. slipping into a well-worn sweater. the sound of smooth melodies that sing small children to sleep. home. that’s what they feel like. with their hand in her own, sharing whispers and secrets. when a smile blooms true across their face. when they walk pporong and tease her for burnt bundts and call at ungodly hours for no reason at all, just to listen to each other breathing while sungji drifts asleep. these moments, such fickle creatures fleeting and gone far too quickly... their time together is limited, at least in this life, but she’s hopeful for the next. to find them again. and that makes it bearable, she thinks, having something to look forward to. a shooting star dancing overhead and she knows what to wish for.
