Daendels and De Kock
De Kock held the position of chief of staff of that flotilla and took an active and courageous part in the operations conducted in those days. (...) Governor-General Albertus Henricus Wiese, however, appointed him his Adjutant-General; and after Marshal Daendels assumed command, he entrusted him with the most important military duties.
