Their latest advertisement campaign, they even had a model with some rather sizable surgical scars show how it can cover them up- oh… oh goodness, please pardon me! I-I wasn’t thinking-

Eve: It’s okay, hon. I wasn’t offended. Besides, I won’t lie, I do sometimes wonder about covering this thing up. But ultimately, I think I’d just be running myself ragged if I spent all my time trying to cover it up.

Barry: Ah, I see… um… if it’s not too terribly nosy of me, darling, I was wondering… ah, how to phrase it…

Eve: Are you wondering how I got it?

Barry: You took the words right out of my mouth, dear! Yes, I am, I was just so afraid of being rude.

Eve: I don’t mind at all. I was, let’s see… 16 years old. I was in chemistry class and we were doing a lab assignment with hydrofluoric acid. REALLY concentrated stuff. The teacher kept reminding all of us that this stuff was highly corrosive so we had protective gear on. Me and my partner finished our assignment early so we just kinda sat there on our phones waiting for everyone else. My goggles and face mask were musty af, so I took them off and, uh… heh… that was a major mistake on my part. The boys at the table next to us were a wild pair. They started roughhousing and the jar of acid one was holding went flying. That’s the last clear thing I remember. Everything else is just flashes interlaced with how much pain I was in. My teacher yelling at people to call 911, the ambulance ride, getting to the hospital. I thought someone was screaming the whole time, but it was probably me.

Barry: Oh, darling…

Eve: When I saw myself unbandaged in a mirror for the first time, I almost fainted. Half my face looked like raw meat.
