10. What was the first gif you ever posted it’s so gross i’m not posting it again and subjecting everyone to that dhsbdf but i recently recreated it here!! 

12. What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever giffed !!!! i’m actually stumped though i gif some seriously random stuff lmao. i wouldn’t say it’s embarrassing but this didn’t rly need to be giffed however it made me laugh a lot lmao .

19. What is your giffing process like A MESS. but i never rly go in-depth so let’s get it. firstly, i prefer to gif .ts files where possible, and for youtube/other video files, i generally don’t gif anything lower than 1080p (720p is pushing it but if i absolutely must, i will). 

then, i will open the file in quicktime player so i can scroll through the video quickly back and forth and look for what moments i like and are the right length. i don’t think anyone else except me notices this, but i will generally never gif a ‘cut’ where it goes from one shot to another. i always stick to one shot per gif. idk why i’m like this, i just am lmao. 

next i put the clip into vapour synth and crop it as needed. i pretty much always use the same settings but change the sharpening as the file requires. at this stage i preview what frames i want and process it (i generally aim for 30-40 frames, and sometimes give myself a bit of extra if i can’t decide exactly where i want it to start and end yet).

move on to ps; import video frames to layers. i work with frame animation rather than timeline bc ps is hard. i’ll adjust the frame delay (most of the time set to 0.06) and throw my psd on top and play around with how light it is/colour balance and VOILA!!! save that bad boy. though tumblr upped the gif size limit, i keep mine below 3mb because i find if you go much higher, tumblr compresses the heck out of it and looks crappy anyway. i keep my workspace like this so i can kinda see how it all looks together before i put it in tumblr (i learnt this from mare ily)
