I wanted to tell you this in person, but I don’t think i can sit on it any longer. Plus I’m not even sure you’ll get this. And I’m not good at this kinda stuff, but here it goes anyways...

I know I’m not the best dad. Or even a good one if im honest. I’m obnoxious and rude and arrogant and a bunch of other things.

I guess it’s obvious, but I can tell you now. I really had no idea what I was doing when you were a kid. In fact, when your mom told me I was gonna be a dad, I was scared shitless. I still have no idea what im doing.

But somehow, despite my constant fuck-ups, you still managed to turn out perfect. That right there should show you that you’re not like me. Just because I’m a loser doesn’t mean you are. In fact, I think you’re the only thing I’ve ever done right.

You’ve got a ton of friends who’d jump to help you in a heartbeat! And you help others! You make a huge difference, and face things that I’d run away from in a second. You’re making a name for youself! A good name. So I get it. And it’s fine if you don’t wanna talk any more. I won’t keep pushing you. I really mean that.
