Okay, can I just say something harsh for a second? This book was fucking hard to read. The formatting was too much, the font was too small, the words were are crunched together. I need space on a page if I'm to be expected to follow what's going on. I get that DC DeMarse, the poet, is trying to be interesting or something, but it's just stressing me out.

Don't worry, I'm going to talk about the content, but I have to get this out of the way: there is really no reason to pursue "unique" formatting. There's a reason I wrote an ebook called Times New Roman 12 Pt. Font, and that reason is that I am really, really into MLA formatting. I want to see one inch margins and I want to see either double spaces or spaces between paragraphs (like I do here.) Anything other than that really, really annoys me. Which is a personal problem and not something I or anyone should hold against DeMarse.

So, as for the content: this ebook is pretty wild. There isn't much cohesiveness, or maybe there is, I'm having trouble identifying delineation in this work. It felt kind of like Dante's Inferno, this madcap collection of phrases and concepts. (I didn't really read Inferno very carefully, so it's possible that's not at all what that book is like.) The rambling nature of DeMarse's book made me severely uncomfortable. Maybe I'm just, like, really dumb, but I guess I didn't "get it."

But, you might get it. I have no idea where you should read this. Maybe on the set of Blade Runner, if you can find it.
