Who Is Sammy Butler?
Sammy is a retired Villain known as 'Charge'. He appears as a patron of The Dark Side bar in Staten Island, New York. Following a visit by Nightwing, said establishment is attacked by a duo of villains known as Bride and Groom (Or Violet and Thomas) who operate within a symbiotic relationship. They manage to murder a number of Sammy's friends, leading him and a number of others to join Nightwing in the hunt for these two. Sammy is the sole companion who stays by Nightwing's side after his fellow patrons abandon him, deeming the chase a lost cause.
Although Sammy, along with everyone else, promises to uphold the patnted Batman No Kill rule, when reminded of this fact during the final stand off, he replies 'Maybe.', brandishing his electrical power. Despite this, he subscribes to the philospohy to the extent of refraining from murdering Bride, despite having the chance.
Later, he is shown for the final time attending a friend's funeral alongside Nightwing himself.
Now, I thought this was to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. I was wrong. He was never seen again. Google image search doesn't even recognise him. It assumes him to be Roy Harper (Arsenal) or Static lmao
