Hello! I am little secretive about projects I haven’t finished yet. They’re like these little shape-shifting fetuses in my head that I don’t want to interrupt until they have chosen their final form.
What I will say is what hasn’t changed: the French surrealist novel takes place in a seaside village forgotten by time. I have previously described it as “girl stays at home and watches the plot slip away from her fingers”. There is a snarky storybook-esque 1st person omniscient narrator.
The third act is where everything keeps shifting so I am currently working on a story bible and writing my first draft. Well, not exactly my first draft... I’m what I’ve been calling an “experimental plotter”: I kinda need to build a cast and universe first and write few prototype drafts before I officially bushwack through it!
The fantasy novel is a theological steampunk space opera in medieval garb. Currently shoveling ideas for this beast. It’s the most Children’s Lit story of all the stories I plan to write, yet, it’s the one that requires the most research.
