I've known I'm bisexual for a few years now so it's not the biggest deal for me, but my romantic orientation definitely is. For many years I felt so broken because I could never hold relationships for long, and anybody confessing their feelings for me gave me an awful ick. I was uncomfortable and hated how much I yearned to be in a relationship but detested it when I was somebody's girlfriend.

And then... the freaky robot Hux came along and provided enlightenment. Reading through his lore so many times, writing all those fics for him...I wondered why I interpreted some of my fics with a reader not interested in Hux's romantic redamancy.

He is literally the reason I realized I'm aro-spec (lithromantic more specifically). It was liberating to know there's a term to describe who I am and that I wasn't just terrible at feelings and relationships. So, Hux is a very special character to me.

Hux is such an important character to me, and even though I'm not trans I find it important to acknowledge his transgender allegory/identity. Just because he's a robot, and just because you may not see or understand the coding, does not mean it's not there. I love my wrathful, transgender blob-friend.
