Chicks Can Fix
So the dishwasher stopped draining. Had a lovely dinner party last night, and woke up to clean dishes but a washer full of water. So it has to be a clog I assume. What is a woman to do? In keeping with this month’s theme, the answer is to take it apart and get ‘er done!
So I did. And it was no easy task. Multiple bit parts and one obscure one for the screws. What kept me going was thinking of all the money I would save that I could blow on going out to dinner and seeing a show tonight. Pro-tip: Do NOT straddle your dishwasher to get a better look of what is going on in there when the floor is wet.
Found glass shards in there and imagined that was what put a stop to it working and got excited. I put it back together and realized I had left something out; I screamed. Put it back together and realized I had left something out again; commenced chugging salsa. Yes, you read that right-- salsa. I would have chugged that glass of wine I could not finish from last night, except my cleaners today didn't know that I was saving it (being thrifty means drinking day old wine from a glass; don’t act like you have never done it either), and they threw it out or drank it. I would be much happier if they had done the latter honestly.Â
Did it work after all was said and done? No. Am I disappointed? Not really. I lament the loss of two hours but that’s about it. Can’t be upset with today anyway, because I found out all I have to do is use another email address to create another eBay account and I am back in the valet business baby!Â
Feb 10- Going out to dinner and seeing a show anyway. Getting back into eBay valet and the effort to fix the dishwasher justify it.Â
