Got a lot accomplished today. Wasn’t really a restful day off but what can you do. (1) Pear Cardamom Bread (2) Irish Cream Bread Pudding (3) Cheddar Chive Irish Soda Bread (4) Guinness Beef Stew (5) Plant Colony 2. Moved some plants over to another ledge. Made some bagels today. Now cuddling with the fur child. Later making chicken chorizo pie in honor of when my husband and I could still travel. I had it in Scotland on our 5th wedding anniversary trip and it was delightful. Looking forward to a time when we can safely do that again. For now, though, we stay inside and cuddle. Made a quiche this morning. I’ve been craving protein the pass 2 days. This is probably due to the amount of walking I’ve done. Don’t know if you know this, but if you shut down parts of public transportation, in what I can only assume is a effort to trap protesters in parts of the city, the remaining open modes of public transit become very crowded. Not great during a pandemic. Which, in case you assumed said pandemic was over because of the sheer number of white people you saw brunching and wandering all over the city without masks on, it isn’t. Seriously, kudos to the protesters for not only protesting but also for wearing masks while they protest. This quiche has a bunch of cheese, mushrooms, and one of the only smoked polish sausages I enjoy (more of a fresh girl). It also has a carrot/sweet potato crust. No, this isn’t an effort to have a “healthier crust”...im just running out of flour and had an excess of carrots. Stay safe. Be kind. Support each other.
