🌻 Summary 🌻
"Angel okay?" Ponyboy flinched, tensing up and turning towards the doorway where Curly was leaning against the doorframe, rubbing an eye tiredly and a blanket wrapped around his shoulders.
"Sí, estoy bien." Angela uttered back once she got her breath back. Angela took a deep breath before sighing in relief. She leaned back, her hands letting go of the toilet bowl and wrapping around her stomach. Ponyboy rubbed her shoulder comfortingly as he let go of her hair.
"Here," Ponyboy flinched again, turning and finding that Tim had woken up too. He had a glass of water held out and Ponyboy reached over to grab it before handing it to Angela who sighed a bit. Whether in relief or exhaustion, Ponyboy didn't know. She took the glass gingerly, taking a small sip and swishing it around before spitting it into the toilet before taking a proper drink.

Ponyboy slipped inside the door as quietly as he could, eyes darting through the room to see who was still up at the late hour. Finding no one, Ponyboy felt himself relax just a little. He'd been worried about bothering anyone who was still awake, or having to talk to anyone who might have been up. Ponyboy wasn't as worried about bothering anyone who was asleep, and there was no one who might ask questions.
Curly slept like the dead and Tim always slept real sound whenever Dallas was over. And given the time Ponyboy could only assume Dallas was over, because Tim was usually up until one in the morning otherwise. It was only midnight and the house was silent and dark. Well, not silent per se. Ponyboy could hear Curly's snoring, if only faintly from where he was standing.
Carefully, he toed his shoes off and double checked that the door was locked up before putting his keys in his jacket, which used to belong to Angela before she put it on him with the demand that he wear it whenever he left the house. Carefully, he hung it up beside the other jackets, specifically Angela's as she told him was required, and recognized Dallas' jacket next to Tim's with a fond smile.
Ponyboy had no doubt that Dallas' jacket was covering Curly's; the two had an on-going back and forth on who's was actually supposed to be next to Tim's simply for the principal of the matter of space. It only started after Angela demanded Ponyboy's be next to her's, which displaced Curly's jacket.
Ponyboy turned and walked through the living room and towards the bedrooms, his steps light as he moved through the hall to one of the bedrooms. He knocked lightly, knowing that she was most definitely awake. He seemed to be the only one that knew how hard sleeping had been for her recently.
"Open." Her voice was soft as she called Ponyboy in—he was the only one that really knocked. He slipped inside the room, eyes landing on Angela as she sat at her desk, dressed in her pajamas but looking like she had made no move to crawl into bed. She had tired eyes and a journal in front of her.
From a glance, it looked like she was pricing things they would need for the baby and adding everything up. Ponyboy recognized it from doing it himself, and listening to his oldest brother go on about how he needed to get his own job to pay for it, because Darry wasn't helping. Sodapop tried to soften it with his own words, 'there were just too many expenses right now', it had not helped much.
"Come on, Angela, let's lay down." Ponyboy offered, brushing her hair out of her face with his hands. They might not have been actually dating, but it had become their shared habit to act like they were, even while alone. Angela sighed through her nose as her eyes closed briefly. She looked more tired than she had all week.
"Fine." Angela sighed, shutting the journal with a definite slap of the cover, her pen sitting beside it carefully. Ponyboy backed away as she stood up. Angela stretched with a sigh in relief when her back popped before leading Ponyboy towards her bed with a quick jerk of her head.
They climbed in together, with Ponyboy wrapping the blankets around them so that they would be warm. Angela curled up against his chest with a soft sigh. She claimed that she slept better with Ponyboy just in the room, but Ponyboy noticed it seemed true whenever his arms were wrapped around her.
There may not have been any actual love between them, at least not romantic love, but there was fondness and some sort of love there. Ponyboy settled himself, making sure that Angela actually fell asleep like she pretended to.
Ponyboy jerked awake as Angela tore herself up and out of bed. It took a moment for Ponyboy to figure out what happened before he was shoving himself up and out of bed to chase after her. She was running towards the bathroom with a hand over her mouth. Ponyboy could reasonably assume that Morning Sickness had reared itself again.
Ponyboy dropped to his knees beside Angela, pulling her hair back and out of her face as she gagged violently into the toilet bowl.
"Sorry-" Angela was caught off as she gagged again. Ponyboy held her hair with one hand while rubbing her back with the other. Her hands were gripped tightly onto the sides of the toilet, and she was heaving in breaths in-between gags.
"Don't be sorry, Angie," Ponyboy murmured. He was blinking tiredly but he was slowly waking up from the cold of the bathroom floor. "You're okay," Ponyboy assured her. Angela gave him a very brief smile before she was throwing up.

"I'm goin' back ta bed if Angel is okay." Curly uttered, pushing off the doorframe and assumedly making his way back to his own room. Angel huffed with a fond smile as Tim nudged Ponyboy into moving closer towards the door so he could check on Angela himself.
"I got her, Ponyboy. You go get some more sleep." Tim encouraged, but Ponyboy stayed where he was. Tim had a fond smile on his face, so maybe he expected that. Angela was also smiling a bit as she caught sight of Ponyboy still sitting there.
"¿Cómo te sientes realmente, Ángel?" Tim murmured, crouched low beside Angela, rubbing her back soothingly as she moved her hair to over one shoulder.
"Me siento bien, lo prometo." Angela sighed, though one arm was still wrapped around her baby bump. "Tú y Ponyboy se preocupan demasiado." She added as she against her brother, tiredly.
"Nos preocupamos porque nos importas, Ángel." Tim pressed a kiss to her temple, which seemed to help a little bit as Angela smiled at her brother with a more genuine expression. "Now, let's get you both back to bed." Tim gave a pointed look to Ponyboy, who had really only caught small bits of the conversation held between the siblings. Ponyboy smiled innocently at Tim, fighting back a yawn just to make a point.
Tim gave him another look before turning and helping Angela to her feet.
Ponyboy kept his innocent smile as he pushed himself up, flinching slightly when his head spun and Tim grabbed his arm to steady him. Ponyboy blinked at Tim who was staring at him with an expression of observation. Ponyboy offered a weaker smile.
"Back to bed, both of you." Tim uttered, letting Ponyboy get away with the dizziness that had over come him. Ponyboy moved out of the bathroom, letting Tim take the lead as he guided Angela back to her room. Or, at least, down most of the hall before motioning for Ponyboy to take his place in a subtle way. "Buenas noches," Tim uttered quietly to Angela, before resting a hand on Ponyboy's shoulder, "Night, kid." Tim gave him a smirk as Ponyboy scowled lightly.
"Night Tim," Ponyboy offered anyways, despite his annoyance for the term used.
"Buenas noches… hermano mayor." Angela yawned between her words, and Tim ruffled her hair before making his way back to his own room. Very faintly, Ponyboy could hear Dallas asking if Angela was okay.
Ponyboy shut the door to Angela's room behind him while Angela made a beeline towards the bed. She crawled in and sighed in relief before discomfort took over. She sat up and looked around the room with a faint frown.
"I'm cold." Was her response. Ponyboy hummed before going to the dresser and digging in the top drawer for one of his sweatshirts. He walked back to the bed and handed it over, Angela smiling thankfully as she pulled it on.
They laid down together, Angela was quick to move closer and rest her head on his chest. Ponyboy wrapped his arms around her once again.
"Thank you, Pony." Angela murmured, and Ponyboy hummed in acknolwedgement.
"Of course." Ponyboy responded. "Get some sleep, Angel." Angela hummed in response before she sighed and relaxed. They uttered their good nights quietly as they settled to sleep.
