Plotted Starter for @dawnspath <3!
{♕} A heavy breath left the keyblade user as he stood in the darkened forest surrounding Beast’s castle. His fingers felt numb, his grip on his keyblade was so tight, his knuckles were going pale. Hoards upon hoards of heartless had been hunted and battled, but Sora wasn’t done. No, he had to get better.
How long had he been out here?
The thought crossed his mind momentarily, but he shook his head, pressing forward. Snow had begun to fall, but the cold only soothed his aching muscles, it numbed any pain he might have felt. Catching movement from the corner of his eye, Sora stilled for a moment, trying to follow it’s movements. Slowly he began to near the shadow and lurched forward once close enough.
He froze.
It was just a deer. Large, darkened eyes stared back at clear blue ones and Sora felt a heaviness in his chest. He lowered his keyblade, shoulders sinking. The fawn didn’t move, simply stared at him. Whether it was in fear or some other reason, Sora took the opportunity to speak.
“...I’m sorry, I...didn’t mean to attack you.” His voice trembled, the boy had never thought he’d ever have to apologize for raising his keyblade at someone innocent. His heart sank as he stepped forward, offering his hand to the fawn, only for it to run off quickly. His eyes followed the fawn as it fled, not realizing that it wasn’t running from him.
It was running from the Novashadow behind Sora.
