Muroco is an unusual member of the Sunspears. One of the few tauren members of the Sunguard, Muroco possesses no aptitude for magic, academic education, proficiency with technology, or powers granted by divine beings or otherwise. He is a patient but brutal warrior who enjoys annoying the leaders of the Burning Legion, Alliance, Old Gods and any other enemy of the Sunguard by cutting bloody swathes through their ranks.
It all started after his exile, when he decided that he would become one of the greatest warriors to ever walk the world of Azeroth. After seeing much of the world as a mercenary, he eventually threw his lot in with the Sunguard, lending his battle-axe to their causes. He had a jolly time, from bisecting mouthy worgen to headbutting cultists with his horns.
There was but one problem, however. His elven friends, while skilled and well-meaning, did not possess a physique like his. He wondered how elves could be so graceful with “feet” instead of powerful hooves. They could not block narrow passageways with only their body like he could. Some of them were even three feet smaller than he. After witnessing some of them hiding behind his back for physical cover, the revelation came upon Muroco; since many of his allies excelled at offense, he should focus on defense.
Of course, effective warriors require effective equipment. Spending all of his savings, Muroco funded for himself a new shield. Muroco took his most prized trophy, the partial remains of a skull he took from a mammoth he killed, and demanded the blacksmith bolt it to the shield, claiming that it was indestructible. Although a bold claim, this boast has yet to be proven wrong, as the skull does not show a single trace of damage to this day.
A tower shield to put tower shields to shame, Muroco carries it into battle, protecting his allies and striking fear into anyone foolish enough to face him.
“The idiot rushes headlong into battle by himself for the chance of seeking glory. The wise warrior knows that the best fights will always come to them.” - Muroco Rockhoof
The Oathsong Banner [Mythical Banner]
Crafted following the tragedy of the Winter of Woe, Telchis had commissioned many artisans to create a banner suitable to herald the pain and woe suffered during the deadly Northrend Campaign. Imbued with magical enchantments, the banner serves as a symbol for his kinsmen and as a rallying point.
Whenever this mystical banner is flown on the field, all will know that the Archon stands with his countrymen, ready to turn aside any and all who would threaten his people.
