since ive been doing a lot of manhwa reading lately, i wanted to share some works that really resonated with me so you can enjoy them too <3

GENRE: FANTASY

🎀 serena

୨୧: too much exposition but the art is gorgeous. eiser is a panty dropper though so for him im giving 7/10

🎀 my beloved oppressor

୨୧: this will have you sobbing and believing in the power of fate and second chances. a heavy read, but if you can trust the process, it's a beautiful story. 8/10

GENRE: MODERN AU

🎀 the seductive wife

୨୧: there's some witty scenes but ultimately needs more to hold attention. relationship between the fl and ml feels a bit rushed, too. 6/10

🎀 my fantasies are c*mming to life?!

୨୧: art meets life if you're a smut writer. the ml will make you want to kill him yet kiss him at the same time. 6.5/10

🎀 lifesaving romance

୨୧: slightly rushed ending, and a lot of loose ties conveniently wrapped up. but, the storyline is witty and fast-paced. the fl is also quite likeable. 6.5/10

🎀 marry my husband

୨୧: i loved the reincarnation aspect of it. both the leads are also very likeable. second chances and a tale of revenge that isn't slow burn. 7.5/10

🎀 no marriage is perfect

୨୧: started out strong but became laggy in a few chapters. the art style quality has also declined. probs gonna drop it. 6.5/10

I wanted to ask a question (hope you don't mind and if you do, feel free to skip this and don't answer). Now I am reading us again and as spellbound, I love the arranged marriage plot where one of them was already in love with someone else. I wanted to know if you could recommend me novels or fanfics with that plot style :( I think I'm getting addicted to that kind of angst. (hope you don't mind this last one).

i don't really read much nowadays, but these are some of my fave works in no particular order:

circe, the song of achilles, cloud atlas, the waiting years, these violent delights, game of thrones (the book series), the white queen, pride and prejudice, persuasion, remains of the day, nights at the circus.

my fave writers definitely has to be madeline miller, angela carter, phillipa gregory, kazuo ishiguro, murakami, and jane austen (queen) & fumiko enchi (another queen) though i'm super super slow in reading their works bc i have the attention span of a fruit fly 😪

for poets, my fave would be ocean vuong (always and forever <3)
