Soon after their squabble by the river, Davos is captured by Aeron while trespassing the border and he's subsequently brought as prisoner to Stone Hedge . This unlocks a sequence of events that gradually bring the two young men closer together, the distinction between friend and foe becoming blurred as they make their own stand in a civil war that turns beloved ones against one another and enemies into lovers.

Aeron screams at him, savage and deep from the chest. Instead of hitting him again though, he finally draws his dagger and goes running, shoulder crashing into the other boy, knocking them both to the floor.

“You bastard, I'll fucking kill you,” Aeron cries, full of anguish,sitting on Davos’ chest, his dagger is clutched in both hands high above their heads, ready to drive it down into the Blackwood's throat.

“You're so beautiful,” Davos says, reverently, still unmoving, ready to let Aeron end him.
