“There was a genuineness to wanting to help Paige in her situation, he has that deep care for people. Once it became obvious that the baby wasn't his, he would still be there no matter what. The connection between David and Paige is one that the fans definitely respond to and we have a lot of fun playing that.
Their relationship- there's no judgement in it. I think that's what Paige is attracted to in David, that he doesn't judge her. Me and Olympia have really pushed to maintain that with the scripting, none of the stuff that could be off hand with other characters, between us- we wouldn't say that to each other. She knows that David's gay, she knew it instinctively and she's like- you do you and that's okay, when you're ready, you're ready. David loves that about her and David's been the same with her. You do you, I'm here for you and I won't judge you, so you can tell me anything. That's what thrives between them.”
