Trace Mountains 🏔🏔
Trace Mountains, aka Dave Benton, shared the title track from his forthcoming album, Lost in the Country. The contemplative road song features candid introspective lyrics that are counter balanced by shimmering guitars and a bright ethereal soundscape.
Benton describes the song as follows:
A lot of the songs on this record feel like a bit of an awakening for me, but this one especially. It's so easy to get caught up in the details of your own life and lose important things along the way. 'Lost in the Country' is a song about regret and reaching out for the missing things.
Trace Mountains (aka LVL UP's Dave Benton) will be releasing his new album Lost in the Country on April 8 via Lame-O Records. Yesterday, he shared the title track of the album, a lush singer-songwriter track just under 5.5 minutes long. There’s a warm mellowness to “Lost in The Country” that makes it so easy to listen to but the song also blends that warmth with slick indie rock elements too. Trace Mountains hits that perfect medium of indie folk rock, matching the reflective nature of the song.
