People's Park, Davao
You have not been to davao if you can not visit one of davao city’s pride destination. A cultural-theme park headed by Mayor Rudrigo Duterte. the only mayor with closed-fist implementations.
Durian Dome
Located at the entrance area. The most extravagant design molded originally to signify davao's pride the Durian. The rainbow-colored bricks added its prestined design to amused people walking.
Paintings of Various Artist
Inside the dome found a small hallway wherein you can expose your talents like paintings and many more. This gave plus points to park goers and luckily artist will be known for its expositions.
Ponds
One of the major attractions inside that give by-passers a great view of scenery.
Statue of a Native Dabawenyo
Found inside are many beautifully handcrafted concrete artworks and figures representing the Lumads, the indigenous people or tribe of Davao. It emphasized the cultural history on how native socialized, dressed and lived.
My tips to get here at People’s Park
From the davao international airport, take a taxi (P140) or jeepney (P15) going to People’s Park located at Palma Gil Street in the city center. The Park is situated in the heart of the city right across Casa Leticia at the corners of Jose Camus and J. Palma Gil streets, and is a walking distance from Apo View Hotel, Mandaya Hotel, shopping malls, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, commercial establishments, and entertainment areas. So simple :)
