Call for Submissions
In an effort to crowdsource some free COVID zines for the library, we're trying out editing a COVID compilation zine - The New Normal.
A consistent pain point for a lot of COVID Cautious people is how the world’s “return to normal” has impacted our ability to date. We’re looking for pieces that offer interesting and refreshing perspectives to dating while COVID Cautious. Have you had success dating someone with mixed precaution levels? Do you have a list of COVID Safer date ideas you think others would like? Did a break up teach you something about your boundaries around COVID? Has COVID changed how you identify your sexual or relationship orientation? We want to hear about this and more!
We favor longer form essays but if you have an interesting smaller piece you think would be a good fit feel free to share it with us! We’d also love to receive some art with this theme as well!
We’re looking for thoughtful essays and articles around this theme by January 31st. Since this zine with go into COVID Free Press’s collection of free-to-print zines, there is no pay for accepted submissions. Feel free to post your work on your own blog “#covid free press submission” AND message us a link to check it out. If you’d rather submit it over email, message us for an email address. Make sure you make it clear what name and pronouns you’d like used for your author credit.
