when you’d first met you thought that his face was naturally cherry colored and that he always stuttered and fumbled his words, but then one of his big mouthed hyungs let it slip that Lil’ Gyeomie had a crush 

the first ‘date’ was arranged as a large group outing but conveniently everyone except the two of you called in with an excuse 

you were 1000% sure he’d had a terrible time because he wouldn’t look at you and hardly laughed or smiled at anything all night

but when he dropped off you at home he stared at his shoes and whispered that he’d enjoyed spending the evening with you, and asked if it was alright for him to text you sometimes 

after a few shy “Hello, how are you today?” messages, you fell into a comfortable blur of constant texting and late night phonecalls

it was easy to be silly and goofy on the phone, but when you met again in person is was just as awkward as before

to break the ice you’d say something like “I like talking to you on the phone, but you’re a lot prettier in person” or something else guaranteed to fluster him

after his cheeks cooled down and Yugyeom stopped hiding his precious smile behind his hands, things were easy again

he always made time in his schedule to see you, even if it meant shifting his extra practice time to before dawn, or doubling up on solo lessons so he could have an hour free in the afternoon, or simply staying up all night so he could make it across town in enough time to walk you to school

though it was literally the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for you, you made him promise not to wear himself out for you 

now you come to see him instead, sitting in on dance practice or bringing lunch and snacks for him 

(most of them were eaten by the other members, but you always saved the best item to personally feed to your big fluffy baby)

 video dates when you were both too busy to meet in person, or when he was overseas and had no other choice

but when you were actually together date night always began well before you even finished dressing

Yugyeom always came early, as he loves to help you pick out your outfit or help you into your shoes

he’s left several of his own items at your place so he can change to match you if necessary

likes very subtle couple items like (e.g. his tie matching your purse, sharing earrings, phone cases)

big on buying you gifts and you somehow come home with a new bracelet every time you go out to the movies

sometimes you both get all dolled up to go out but change your minds at the last minute and stay on the couch instead
