That's exactly what it sounds like - it's the doc that has all my notes for the Shades of Purple concept (which, for anyone who's unfamiliar, is this right here.)

I'll be honest, this doc is...kind of a mess, lol. Lots of me just writing out various scene outlines, crossing them out, and then redoing them with a different direction. So getting a snippet is a little tough, because so much of it is just not relevant to the concept anymore. But here's a bit I think I'll probably end up keeping in the final:

Thunder magic never bothered him, but the first time it rained in the deep jungle, Sora found himself curling up on the damp ground beneath a large plant and found it hard to move for anything but a heartless attack until the downpour stopped. It wasn’t a relaxing sort of unwillingness to move like he was used to. It was a tenseness in his chest that stiffened his arms and made it hard to stop listening to what was usually a gentle patter of water that would lull him to sleep.

He just kept remembering how the clouds took over the sky so quickly and how the echoing rumble from somewhere bigger and deeper than he’d ever understand felt as it rattled through his bones.

He’d grown up on an island so he had a healthy wariness of storms, he thought.

Donald and Goofy didn’t question it. Not because it was a boy in PJs with just a jacket and his tennis shoes curled under a leaf a few days after losing his home, but because they were Toons. They functioned on a different set of physics and laws than the humans of some worlds did. They were what they were, and always would be. Donald would be angry. Goofy would be foolish. Mickey would take charge. Pete would want to take charge, but never quite be able to do it.

Sounds like my kinda dream, tbh.

Riku’s the head groundskeeper who’s fallen hopelessly in love with Sora, the Prince of the castle he works at

it was originally his father’s position but he took over once he was old enough

the first time Sora tried to talk with him Riku sliced his hand open with the shears that were being used to trim the bushes since he was too distracted by Sora’s smile

Sora grabbed Riku by the non injured hand and dragged him to the physician on site 

he stayed with Riku the whole time he had his hand looked at and bandaged 

Riku learned Sora wasn’t like most of the nobles and royalty he had heard about and found himself utterly charmed by the Prince

after that incident Sora kept showing up and more and more and Riku slowly found himself becoming used to the Prince’s attention and fun conversations 

Riku uses flowers to talk to Sora when he’s unable to say much in public 

the flowers all come from his private garden

Sora presses every single flower given to him by Riku 

Riku worries constantly about Sora’s position as Prince while dillydallying with him, the glorified gardener, of all people 

at night when the two sneak away to the darkened chambers of Sora’s room Riku swears he completely believes the other when Sora whispers into his ear and against his skin that he’ll love him forever 

Sora and Riku are two young nobles who meet periodically during parties and soirees 

they met as ten year olds and even though they only see each other a handful of times a year their friendship is completely solid 

they spend more time together than around the other rich snobs around them and often get into heaps of trouble 

once they both snuck into the kitchens while the cooks were busy pouring out platters and dishes of expensive and hard to obtain food 

Riku proceeded to snatch sweets and pastries and the two young boys made out like bandits with their treats and found an empty room and laid on the floor while merely talking about what’s been going on with their lives while apart 

Riku gets awfully jealous when Sora is in the presence of another person

even more so when it’s someone his parents are trying to marrying him off to 

Sora appeared at one of the parties late one year, making Riku extremely worried about his well being

Riku’s heart broke and his stomach fell to the floor at the young woman hanging off Sora’s arm and the sad expression that lingered in the brunet’s eyes 

“my family needs me to do this” 

his family’s finances are in disarray and they use Sora as a way to fix their money situation and have him betrothed to a rather wealthy minor royals daughter 

it took hours to get Sora away from his intended and when Riku was finally alone with him he kissed Sora against a wall

Sora cried and asked Riku if he would still love him even without a penny to his name

Riku and Sora proceed to flee in the dead of night to start a life together 

Riku’s a Prince who’s always had this young squire, Sora, as his playmate and bodyguard growing up 

against his parents wishes, Riku would practice his swordsmanship with Sora when the two were able 

Riku once broke through Sora’s guard so well that he accidentally sliced into the younger boy’s belly

Riku was inconsolable for days as Sora was bedridden with a fever from the gash given 

He refused to leave Sora’s side while he healed up

Sora never blamed Riku for the slip up

Riku traces the small scar to the right of Sora’s navel when his skin is exposed 

at fifteen Sora left for a year to train with Squall Leonhart, the knight he was assigned to

Riku begged his father to go with them and was put under guard for a week so he wouldn’t have a chance to chase after the knight and knight in training 

Riku and Sora wrote each other letters while separated 

they developed a code that was used in their letters to keep their relationship secret 

it was during the letters that Riku confessed he had more than friendly feelings towards his longtime friend 

when Sora returned he barely had a chance to see Riku before being shoved into a battle to defend his kingdom 

the two were unable to speak or write to one another while the fights waged on for months 

after many hard battles and skirmishes Sora stood victor with the knights and army of the kingdom he belonged to

Riku gave him quite a victory present when Sora returned to the castle 

Sora was knighted early thanks to his large part in helping to defend the place
