The spring has been spent laboring furiously piercing the aquifer where we embarked. The last few months have been desperate and hectic. I really cannot do this. It was someone's idea in the mountainhomes to send settlers off to a cruel desert, to taunt the goblins if nothing else. And who has to deal with this mess? Me.
The surface is nasty here. Not only is it bone dry save the stream, but I've been attacked by undead animals too. This place is just place malicious. Luckily there's not been anything too large, but I'm seriously worried about the horses that died from starvation.
Some migrants arrived on the 5th of Malchite and we haven't even set up properly. I know that I'm going to need an office if we ever have a chance of getting things in order. Not that that's going to happen because everyone's sleeping on the hard floor because we have no wood.
