AMAZON ID VERFICATION???? This is ridiculous! 😲📦
Straight from the Tweet:
"Amazon is emailing many users for "unusual ordering activity" and are asking for ID age verification. Surprise, surprise, their age verification vendor is Persona."
This sounds incredibly suspicious! If the user uses a credit card, can't they just go through the credit card company or even email the user confirming the order if they use a credit card or gift card? I think that would be a better solution than literally asking for a government ID!
Also, DO NOT give your ID to Persona they were caught putting IDs through a government database and generally just stealing data. That is why Discord dropped them weeks ago! Mass surveillance and stealing your data are on the rise under the guise of safety/suspension!
I will repeat: DO NOT GIVE ANY AGE VERFICATION PLATFORM YOUR ID!!!!! 💳🚫
