If you’re stuck and have some means, Micro.blog is a great way to go IndieWeb and own all your content while still being able to interact with a large number of other IndieWeb sites as well as Twitter and Mastodon if you choose. Plans there are $5 a month and are an exceptional deal. 

Other options are to move to other blogging platforms like Tumblr, which has shown interest in adding IndieWeb building blocks, WordPress.com, and Blogger.

まあ、 tumblr 始めてまだ１年経ってないオレが言うのもなんなんだが、

上記説明だけで、ざっくりだけど判る！と思うんだけど、具体的になると判らないのが tumblr に関する説明なんだよね、ずっと前から、オレ的には。

なので、上記 English Version の焼き直しになったとしても説明してみますわ。夏休みの宿題よろしく日本語版もここに POST しますわ

なぜ？理由は簡単、 English Version も結構見らている様だし、 自己満足とまでは言わないけど、日本語版も在ったほうが収まりがいい感じがしたので。

オレが実際自分の tumblr の Data Export を行った環境 2018 年 6 月半ば

Android のスマホの、

Web Browser の PC モ―ドで

関係無いだろうけど wi - fi で

当然 Windows PC だろうが Mac PC だろうが Linux だろうが UNIX だろうが Web Browser で tumblr にログインすれば同じく可能なんでしょうねー。但し、オレは iphone ipad を使ったことは無いので Mac 向けアプリや その Web Browser でどうか？は判らない

Android のスマホのアプリではダメ→ DATA Export 機能がカバーされて無い為

Android のスマホの Web Browser の PC モ―ドでなく、通常のモ―ドではダメ→ DATA Export 機能に辿り着け無い為

1 ) まず、 Android のスマホの Web Browser の PC モ―ドでなく、通常のモ―ドで h ttps://tumblr.com に行く

Chome でも Firefox でも AD Block Browser でも何でも OK 、 PC モ―ド機能があれば

2 ) tumblr のログイン画面になっているので、 Browser の ( 通常は ) 右上にある画びょうマークをタップ、出て来たメニューの中にある「 PC モ―ド」をタップ ( メニューの中に PC モ―ドが見あたら無いならば下へスクロールすれば出てくるハズ )

3 ) PC モ―ドだとログイン項目場所がスクリーンの外側になっているハズなので、指先を上下左右に動かしてログイン項目場所をスクリーン中央に持って来て、且つ２本の指先を拡げたり縮めたりしてログイン入力し易いサイズにして、ログインする。

4 ) また、このやり方はログアウト時も同じで、ログアウトをタップすると、「本当にログアウトしますか？」 って選択項目が出てきて、ログアウト OK をタップしないとログアウトが完了しないので忘れずに。ログアウトが完了したなら ( 最初のログイン入力画面になったなら ) PC モ―ドをタップして通常モ―ドに戻りましょう

5 ) ダッシュボード上にあるアカウントメニュー ( 人形アイコン ) から「設定」をクリック

6 ) 右側に現れている自分の BLOG を選択。もし、１つの tumblr ID において複数の BLOG を登録していて、複数 BLOG 分のデータを Export したいなら１個１個ログインから繰り返すばいいんじゃないのかな？この辺は該当する人が実行して、自分の tumblr に上げるなり、オレの tumblr をリブログするなり、１個１個ログインから繰り返せば OK 、みたいなコメント付きリブログすればいいんじゃないの？

7 ) でもって、１番下までスクロールすると地色が灰色の「エクスポート + 自分の BLOG ID のラベルボタン」が用意されている ( オレの場合は画像の通り「エクスポート kichisaburo3 のラベルボタン」 ) ので、ラベルボタンをタップ

8 ) ラベルボタンをタップ、つまり「エクスポートせい！」の指示を受けた tumblr のサ―バが下記の様に「 Backup processing . . . 」と状況説明、要するに「ただいまエクスポート DATAを製作中で―す」ってこと

オレの場合、１０分少々「 Backup processing . . . 」のまま変化なし、尚且つ、何割位進行中なのか？あとどの位待てばいいのか？判らなかったのと、 tumblr のサ―バサイドの話なので、ログアウトしちゃいました！

ダッシュボード上にあるアカウントメニュー ( 人形アイコン ) から「設定」をクリックすると、ログアウト項目が出てくるのでログアウトをタップ！でログアウト ( . . . でよかったと記憶している )

いや、もしかしたら、ダッシュボード上にあるアカウントメニュー ( 人形アイコン ) をクリックすると、ログアウト項目が出てきたかも 。何れにしろその辺は各自で色々やってみて！

9 ) で、まあ、６時間程度さわらなかった、いや、ほっといた訳だが、再度 Android スマホで、 Web Browser で、「 PC モ―ド」でログイン、下へスクロールしてみると

「エクスポート kichisaburo3 のラベルボタン」の上に「 Download backup 」 + Jun, 11 2018 とのラベルボタンが出来ていた

Jun, 11 2018 とはデータが作製された日時だね。 Month / Date / Year という米国式表記の。まあ、 Month を数字表記しないのは正解。 06 11 18 とかだと、６月１１日なのか１１月６日なのか混乱するからね。それとも、テ―マ Optica のデフォルト表記と同じってことは、テ―マ Optica の日付表記を自分で変更すれば、その変更が優先されるってことか？まあ、何にしても、ここではたいした話ではない

なにしろ１０分程度でシビレを切らしたオレが思うに、作製されたデータのサイズにも依るんだろうが、１５分とか３０分とか１時間とか必要なんだろう、エクスポートデータ製作完了まで。ただ、これが遅いか速いかの感覚はなくて、こういった機能はあるだけマシとラッキーと考えればいいんじゃないのかな？

10 ) さて、tumblr が製作してくれたデータをダウンロードしよう。「 Download backup 」ラベルボタンをタップすると始まる訳だ、ダウンロードが。

理由は不明なんだが、 20MB 前後のファイルダウンロードに２０分近く掛かった。 wi - fi 回線が混雑していた？インターネットからの下りはこんなもん？ tumblr サ―バからインターネットへの上りを考慮すればこんなもんか？

いまとなってはうる覚えなんだけど、いくつかのダウンロード方法を選択しろってなオプションがあった様な記憶が。この辺は各自で実行時確認して！

ZIP File データのダウンロード Link を選択したわけだ、スマホへのダウンロードを、オレは

tumblr のサ―バがエクスポートデータとして作製するのは ZIP 形式なのは別に構わないんだけど、Android スマホにデフォルトで ZIP の解凍ソフトつまりアプリは入って無いので、別の Web Browser で「 Android ZIP 解凍」で検索すると RAR の名前が。

どうやら Windows PC で使用経験ある WinRAR ソフトの Android 版であると予想。という訳でオレが使ったのが RAR 。 google play ストアでどうぞ Free でした。

または「 Android ZIP 解凍」で検索すればいろいろあるので好きなモノでどうぞ―、できればお金のかからない Free のアプリで充分満足。繰り返しになるけど、オレは Mac に関しては判らないので、 Mac PC iphone ipad の人はそっちで調べてくれ！

12 ) RAR アプリをスマホへインストールし、スマホの画面上に出来ている RAR アプリをタップすると、つまり、 RAR アプリで解凍可能な Data が表示されているので Download folder を選択タップ

さてさて、下記の様に、 Media folder と posts.zip file が出来た

Media folder ってのは、自分が tumblr BLOG に使った、つまり Upload した画像やらを含んでいる Folder のこと。さらに、 Media って名前の Folder で自分のスマホに登録されているので、後ほど、 File Manager で確認してみて。

Posts.zip file ってのは XML Data 形式で、自分がアップした tumblr BLOG の POST が HTML Data で纏められているデータ。 XML Data って Text Editor で開けるんだね。 Text Editor アプリを入れて無い人はこれを機会にダウンロードして使ってみて、お好きなものを。これも Post zip ファイルとして Media ファイルと一緒に自分のスマホに登録されているので、後ほど、 File Manager で確認してみて。

以上がオレの tumblr Data の Export / Backup の実行の説明。

まあね、完璧な説明じゃないかも知れないし、何処か間違っていたのにたまたま上手く出来ちゃったのかも知れないし。そこは、ほら、 Best Efforts っていうインターネットの基本じゃない？

How To BackUp Tumblr Data in English

Anyway I did it as below under the condition :

- Android smartphone connecting wi-fi

- Web Browser in PC mode

As above mentioed,

after login tumblr, go to account setting on dashboard,

select the blog name of yours,

and then scroll down, you see the Label Button ground color in grey on the bottom part : EXPORT with Your Blog Name

( below is for me : export kichisaburo3 )

Push the Label Button

and then appearing " Backup processing . . . " as below

For my case after starting " Backup processing . . . "

it continued in 10 minutes so that I did LogOut from tumblr and then 6 hours after, I did LogIn and I went to account setting on dashboard, selected the blog name of mine, and then scroll down, the below was mentioned

" Download backup " Label with the done date on server side

" Export with your Blog name " Label

I guess . . . It took more 15 minutes - 30 minutes - 1 hour AT LEAST to prepare for the Data on tumblr server side. I do not know exactly

And then, push Label Button

" Download backup " ,

downloading the data started

( for my case, I selected Download-Link to download the ZIP data on the download procedure by android smartphone )

This meant the data by tumblr server is ZIP file

Downloading to my android smartphone via wi-fi it took 20 minutes more or less and size of data was 20MB

I understand that processing of download depends on each condition therefore it would be in 10 minutes less or 1 hour more for your case

Android smartphone of me does not work for ZIP file so that I downloaded RAR Android free version app from google play store due to that I used WinRAR for Windows PC

After install RAR, the downloaded data was worked as below

in RAR app, Select Download folder

Select the Download folder

and Media folder plus posts.zip file as below

Media folder includes photo etc uploaded to tumblr

Posts.zip file includes XML data which is the uploaded post HTML data and it was openned by text editor

These are the way of how to get the backup tumblr data of mine

I am not sure if this is complete or if existing the way more easy and fast to do

And I will not export from tumblr to where in the future ( near future, not future ), this time is like trial since I did not found how to export - data as seaching Google and Yahoo etc. etc.
