The roaring of the Tenno at war had ceased. No guns were fired nor swords were used anymore. The Tenno had won. The mission to defend the cryopod in the Void was a success and the four Tenno stood proud at their accomplishment. The extraction team arrived, consisting of two Volts for quick speed and two Rhinos for transportation of the precious cargo inside of the cryopod. The team who defended the pod followed the extraction team to their Lisets, before an exchange of the rewards was given.
The Tenno operative scouring the Tower had found what they were looking for, and now it was in the hands of the mint green Zephyr. For once Claire had done the impossible. She had faced Corrupted beyond her own strength and with the help of her team she was alive; and all without Alex knowing where she was sneaking off to.
However, her long disappearance for this mission might have triggered worries in the Rhino user. When she arrived at her Liset, the shared Cephalon of her husband and herself was there to greet her.
"Welcome back, Operator Claire. You have 21 messages waiting for you in the Inbox, all from Operator Alex."
"That figures...Thanks for the notification Reggie."
"Certainly. Shall I plot a course back to the Fenrir?"
"Please do, while in transit I am going to be crafting the spoils of this mission."
"But Operator Claire, you do not use a Rhino Prime."
"It's not for me."
Their Cephalon went silent, and if the AI were to have a physical face it would only be that of a smile. Claire stepped from the Navigation console in her private Liset and back to her foundry. She took all of the blueprints collected from her mission and gathered the necessary materials. She activated the building of the helmet, the systems, and the chassis all at once and through the quick hand of her platinum hoard from multiple won bets against Alex, she had the parts complete.
"Now to wait for the finished product..."
Claire would wait until she arrived at the Fenrir to build the final Warframe, because it would be very difficult to transport a full Rhino Prime armor set into the Fenrir without Alex noticing. This was going to be her surprise to him and she did not want Alex to know anything. She knew that he only feared for her safety and considering the past dangers she had dwelled into, she wanted to now prove to him that she could protect herself; that she was growing and becoming stronger. This frame was there to prove not only how much she loved him, but how much she was determined to not be the weakling.
Her Liset docked in the Fenrir normally, landing next to Alex's custom fighter the Gungnir. She gently patted the console of her ship, "Good work today Reggie. Before you switch to the Fenrir's systems, activate cloaking, I am going to do something."
"Certainly." Reginald activated the cloaking abilities of the Liset stealth ship and blended in perfectly with the darkness of the Fenrir's docking station. "Perfect. See you on the inside Reggie." Claire was of course referring to the sentiment that their lovely Cephalon was built into the Fenrir, so that Reginald would not feel as though he was an outcast to them.
Claire waited patiently in her Liset, drawing a data tablet from a console in her ship and sending a single message to Alex.
"Alex. I'm going to the Obstacle Course to see if I can't break my last timing. I was out training in my old Derelict ship for the parkour. COME WATCH ME DAMNIT."
She knew too well that it would not take much to get Alex to come and watch her at the Obstacle Course, but she needed to cover up why she was gone so long. She was already lying to him so that she could sneak the parts into the ship and then build it while he was distracted and heading to the opposing end of the Dojo. That was the entire plan; a ruse to get Alex to leave the Fenrir so that she could sneak inside.
She sent the message to Alex's phone and waited to hear a response, looking on from the Liset's dome window to watch for her husband eventually leaving and heading to the Obstacle Course.
