Daryl’s romances were badly written and lack so much understanding of his character, sure. But some of you just hate other women.
#I really wish he couldve just ended up with Connie#if they were going to keep shoving half assed romances down our throat i mean#Daryl Dixon is a gay man in my heart he appeared to me in a vision mud-streaked and solemn and said “yeah.”#but i felt like that was the closest to a relationship that made emotional sense within what amc was ever willing to tell#their communication being non verbal which really aligns with how this guy expresses affection through action not words#connie being this like representation of acceptence which is what he was denied his whole life#and from what ive seen she is like one of the only women he interacts with that doesnt seem like#defined by his trauma or his unavailability#i feel like their bond was very about mutual trust and teamwork rather than like tropes#idk connie was the most emotionally authentic and least heteronormative route they couldve taken I THINK#cat shouts#daryl dixon#darylposting
